Gone but not forgotten
I am around. BUSY at work, month end and all. I am doing good. Eating great, the water is flowing in and out, and stepping up my workouts. I forgot how much I like to sweat. To have that sore, out of breath, clothes drenched kind of feeling. I signed up for the Wharf to Wharf race. 10K this summer. Running in the cooler weather near the ocean. Last time I ran (and walked) it, I took the entire hour and a half they give you and had to walk at least half. I slowed back as my friends ran along....making it to the finish line before me. I was 210 lbs at the time. So already ahead of the game on weight part of it. I plan to get outside running this week as I know its much different than the treadmill or elliptical workouts. I want to feel the breeze through my hair as I RUN the entire 10K and finish WITH my friends....I am sure I will cry this time too. the weather has gotten quite hot reminding me yet another reason I have keep losing. I feel the best I have felt in a long time. Feeling my clothes get looser, able to be active with my kids a bit more. We are taking a trip to AZ at the end of May, so that means 90-100 degree temps...and bathing suits. I know I wont be 150 by the time I get there, but I will be smaller and "more" comfortable to get a swim suit on. I hope to catch up on some blog reading this week as things slow down at work. Jen
