Monday Monday

Well Monday came WAY to fast this week...as I guess it seems to every weekend. I think the weekends just fly by since Sundays we are in church, then lunch, naps and off to youth group. I had a really fun day Saturday. I finished up a few cookie orders then my daughter and I headed off to have dinner and see a trapeze show my cousins daughter performed in. It was a fun time, much needed one on one time with my girl!

The scale showed a loss of a lb for last week. This week I WILL work harder and get more this week! This was the first weekend in forever that I ate decent...and when I weighed this am I didn't see a gain. Talk about motivation to start Monday off with a bang! I had my oatmeal and looking forward to a snack :)

I had an interesting weekend. Sort of eye opening. I looked around my house and felt totally overwhelmed. It was a disaster, toys, clothes, crap just everywhere. I keep harping on my daughter for not caring about what her room looks like and keep it clean blah blah, but what example does she have? A messy one! I thought of all the things I could be doing to promote my business more and just hadn't "made the time". The fact that I NEED to be reading my bible daily. That I NEED to be working out everyday, caring about my appearance etc. So I starting listing out all the things I didn't think I was giving 100% too. In all aspects of my life. Then listed out the things that I could do to make myself better in those areas. Just seeing that made me realize how many things I do half assed. It made me cry to see how long the list was. So I decided its time to take action.

GOD
Working out
Eating better
going to be at a decent time
laundry - finding a better system
system for keeping up with the house
clean out kids rooms (excess toys etc)
Divine Dessert stuff
Relay for Life Race (April 30th)
Sewing
Getting family blog updated
Scrapbooking
Baby books
One on one time with each kid
grocery shopping/meal planning
Planning the little J's 1st birthday
Taxes
Clean out the office/my craft area (its a disaster)

you see the list is quite long...so I decided I need to cross some things off. Things that I will get back to, but that are not that important TODAY, this week or even this month. That made my list look like this:

GOD
Working out
Eating better
going to be at a decent time
grocery shopping/meal planning
laundry - finding a better system
system for keeping up with the house
One on one time with each kid - already in action :)
Taxes - sending stuff to tax guy today

Much more manageable to accomplish. The Relay for Life and my son's party are both coming up, so I know they will be back on the list but for NOW I can focus on whats there. Get focused on the things that are important NOW and then move on. The top five are things I have to do DAILY, just changes that I need to make for GOOD. So they will always be on the list, but will eventually become habit. Grocery shopping/planning meals and the house stuff I am going to come up with a list of what has to be done, then do something each night to avoid it getting me to that stressed out overwhelmed feeling.

Just getting it all written down, talking with my hubby and getting a plan in affect makes me feel so much better already!!

oh girl, my list is simular to yours!!
laundry is a huge issue in my house.i need a better system!
AND i re-did a huge chore chart and daily check list that i had started with the family.
that is back up on the wall and hopefully things will get on track with a written out schedule!
going from 1-2 kids was a lot easier than going from 2-3 kids!
anyways, hang in there girl, you can do this!
cross off things one thing at a time on that list!

Writing things down is the best way to get a handle on things. I like how you revised your list to the now things and didn't just obsess about them. I love that GOD is on the top of your list. He needs to be on the top of mine too. Better devotionals and better prayers, that is mine.
Thanks for stopping by. Take care my friend and have a blessed evening.
