By Your Side

So we are going through some big ugly financial problems. Its been on going but its recently gotten to a new low. I mean paying the power bill right before its shut off, counting change to put gas in the car. Hubby sells life insurance and final expense insurance. Its not a set salary, its whenever he can get someone to buy, times have been tough. This has been part of my funk. Thinking I am in control, trying to figure out the way out, stressing, eating, freaking out. Yesterday a policy was supposed to pay and in the bank was a deposit for $43. HUH? Apparently this policy pays 43 a month for the next year and not 500$ chunk like we were expecting. OUCH.... I got on my knees, bawling..praying to God to show me His plan. I mean I know it could be worse, it could still get worse, but I was lost and confused and not understanding why we were here, barely making ends meet. Then 20 mins later, hubby called to tell me he has a job interview today, its a perfect fit, a bit of a commute but right up his alley. It was GOD tapping me on the shoulder telling me HELLO..I AM HERE. HAVE FAITH AND TRUST IN ME. I went to bed feeling full....reminded by God that I am not alone, I dont have to carry these burdens alone. I have Him...He is by my side! On the way to work I was praying....and this song came on. Such a perfect song for me right now .

Hubbys appt went fine. His blood pressure was fine. The doctor did some blood work and wants him to come back in a few weeks to have it re-checked. Not sure what the few weird readings he had were caused from, but glad that he is ok!

P.S. Tomorrow is weigh in day and I am feeling good about it!

Good luck tomorrow!

Glad the appointment went well. Hope his re-check is good, too.

My mom always told me things work out. And they do. Having faith is very important.

Hope that interview goes well for your husband!

Jen, I hope things work out. Somehow, they always do - just keep the faith.

Good luck with the weigh in...I find when I stress I want to eat and eat as if there is no tomorrow.

I hope the job works out. I know how you feel we have a home in a different state that we have renters in. They did not pay for 2 months and we had to move in with the inlaws cause we could not afford paying a mortgage and a house. So I understand your pain. But since moving there have been many blessings in disguise from Heavenly Father. When I have my pitty days I just have to remember all that I am blessed with.

God has favor stored up for you guys and his plan will be revealed in time. I have to tell myself that a lot lately. Until then just continue to pray because he is in control.

Hi lady, Just wanted to remind you of my favorite verse...my life verse.

Proverbs 3: 5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart & lean not on your own understandings. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight

Love you & will say a prayer for continued strenght for you tonight!

I'm praying that God will show you His will in all this. I KNOW he has plans to prosper you and not to harm you (it's just that sometimes His "prospering" and our "prospering" have slightly different expectations!). Continue to lean on Him. He is the only sure thing. :)
