Ok not sure how I went this long without posting...but probably because I didn't do my weigh in either. I think I lost, but now I wont weigh again until Friday to see my two week total.
Things are CRAZY around here. Hubby and I are making some big decisions that will affect our lives for the next several years. First we decided to consolidate our credit card debts, this is saving us money each month and we have an END date as to when they will be paid off.
The 2nd thing is our house. We bought our house from my dad and my uncle a little over 3 years ago when the housing market was INSANE. We paid a lot for it and are now having trouble paying the mortgage. After much prayer and deliberation we decided to talk to them about our options. The outcome is they will take our house back and we will rent from them for 1K less a month. This will save us a lot of money as well as get us out of an ugly mortgage for a small house.
The bigger picture will be: Get our credit cards paid off in the next 2 years and buy something bigger for less money. We paid 350K for a 1300 sq ft house and the houses on both sides of us are for sale for around 110K, so the market has dropped HUGE in the sticks where I live.
Also there now more drama with my moms estate. Its amazing to me that someone (my mom) who had hardly anything would result in the amount of drama we have had over "things". Her will stated that my brother and I were to split what she had, a car and a small amount of money in the bank. She also had LOTS of jewelry which she had left in a safe to me, but didn't specify this in her will. After going back and forth with my brother, I took all the jewelry with me when I visited him and we split it up. My aunt is in charge of her will and estate, she also had paid quite a large tax bill for my mom, so now feels she is entitled to some of the money in the bank. So now my brother, me and my aunt are going in circles trying to get this all resolved. We are talking LITTLE money here! Ugh Its insane.... I am hoping to get this resolved this week so we can figure out what to do with her car.
I am tired....I hate being an adult sometimes!
Good news..I have Friday off, me and a few gals are heading to Capitola for the night and doing a little shopping and hanging out at the beach. RELAXING !! AHH I CANT WAIT!

How wonderful of your dad and uncle to hook you up like they are with the house! what a huge load off your shoulders this will be.
also,, isnt it sick how when someone passes on, all the dang drama starts! It never fails. So so sorry you have to endure this. what a tragic situation.

Sorry about the estate...it just amazes me, all the estate stories/pain/nightmares that are out there.
I hate money matters, whenever my hubby wants to discuss I want to run away...wish I was a child as well, those were the good days where one didnt know any of this stuff we adults have to deal with...
