OK so give me the low down on this....The hungry girl cookbook calls for Fat Free Liquid Egg Substitute A LOT. What brands are good? Does it take a while to get used to the taste?
Today is my off day from working out, but I plan to walk at lunch and then maaaybeee do the elliptical tonight. I had a Biggest loser recipe. It was basically Frito's with turkey hamburger on them, some ff cheese, tomato and some ff sour cream. I could only have TEN.....ten measly chips LOL I would rather throw all the ingredients into a salad with a few chips crumbled on top.

I normally use the Kroger brand Egg substitute. Just the regular ones as I think the flavored ones are just nasty.
The texture is a little bit hard to get used to, but we use them all the time now and the family doesn't even notice. I mix in a laughing cow wedge and it makes it so creamy and delicious!!
As for biggest loser last night, I was dispointed that Tara didn't win. What was it like 5 lbs?? Helen looked almost a littel too think for my liking. But I think they all do that. My girl Kristin looked beautiful. I wish she was my friend in real life. I love her heart and she looks amazing. WHat did you think?
I use just the egg whites in a carton. If I really want some yellowness then I will do 1 real egg and the rest egg whites. I haven't noticed a difference in taste, but it is important to me that it is pure egg whites. Less chemicals = good.
I use the store brand (Hy-Vee) in my cooking. I don't care for an egg substitute omelette, but I like 1 real egg with egg substitute. Same with scrambled eggs.
In recipes, though, I have never noticed a difference with the egg substitute, so I use that all the time.
