Running

So I want to run. To set a goal, a 5K would be a good start, to run. I love to run. I used to run alot. This is a great time of year to run, its cool out in the morning and it just feels great. I am in search of a 5K to run in a few months, so I can get a little more conditioned to run that length. I read a lot of great blogs where ladies have come so far. Starting out high in weight and in the end running 5-10K's. Its soo amazing and such an inspiration to me and soo many others!

so I need some tips....have any advice to share?

I plan to start tomorrow with my running. My workout partner likes to run so I am going to get a hold of her today, maybe tomorrow we can run together outside.....just a mile and see how my body reacts!

I love running and am so excited you are taking on the challenge!

If you haven't run before, I would start out slow, or just see what your body can do for you. I started with walking for 5 minutes and then running for 5 minutes. I ran my 5K and have been running 2 miles straight now. I managed to get my mile from 14:30 to 12:30.

You've been working out all this while so I'm sure your body is up for the challenge.

I'm so excited you arte doing this. Make sure you keep me updated. I'd really love to hear how it's going!!

I'm not a professional runner, not even a amatuer runner actually. BUT...I've heard a lot of people say when starting out, to alternate walking & running and eventually decrease the duration of walking in between running. But thats just me regurgitating what others have said. Better to google it :)
