Starting Fresh

Well today starts day one of my new journey....with a plan..with a goal!! I am excited.

This morning started out good. I DIDNT want to get outa of bed....I banged the alarm clock until the last possible second 5:18am. I got up, got dressed, stumbled to the kitchen to get my water, towel and my workout sheet for today....noticed my cell phone was lit up. It was my friend...she wasnt going to the gym. I stood there excited that I was going back to bed, then I thought um hello its day one....your up, dressed and half way out the door. GET MOVING.

Got to the gym did my 5 mins warm up and stretches...then lunges and arms curls and situps and ouch ......the list goes on .....a ton of lifting today and I am already sore!

Today starts a new chapter in my life. A new me is emerging. I used to be soo strong. I could lift way more than I can now. So thats my determination...to get STRONG again! It feels good to be strong!! I do remember that feeling!

So today I have a day of meals planned out (by my super trainer and BIL)

After the gym: 1 slice of white bread with 1 tsp jam (95 cals)
Meal 1: 1/3 cups oats (100 cals), 1/2 Scoop EAS Protein Powder (60 cals)
Meal 2: 1 1/2 Meal Replacement Bars (his own recipe) (150)
Meal 3: Open Face Tuna Sandwich(180)
Meal 4:1 Medium (6") banana (100) & Turkey slices (60 cals)
Meal 5: 4 Wedges - Southwest Chicken Pile Up (356)
Meal 6: 1 Scoop EAS Protein Powder (120 cals)

Tonight I will do 30 mins of low cardio on the elliptical.

Feeling GREAT...off to read about how some of you are doing!

YEA!!! GREAT GREAT JOB!! I don't even know you but I am so proud of you. That took some dedication to go to the gym anyway without your partner. I know you are glad you did. THAT IS THE WAY TO GET STRONG!!! Good looking menu too.

I was up with you at my gym at 5:30! WOO!

Yeah Jen!!!! I love your fresh start, and what a great job on heading to the gym anyways. Amazing what we can do once we finally set our minds to it. Keep me posted and congrats on your day 1!!!

Ohhh Jen! You GO girl!! I need your exercising to rub off on me...then I shall be set. ;) WHEN ARE YOU MOVING TO THE GREAT "HIGHEST UNEMPLOYMENT RATE IN THE COUNTRY" STATE OF MICHIGAN?!?!? Come on, you KNOW you wanna! ;)
